Getting to know Kola!
We
asked Kola to tell us a little bit about her and her
reasons for beginning her business! Kola's Korner
is featured in not one, not two, but THREE BOOKS,
recently published by the
Atlantic Publishing Company! These books are
geared at showing moms, dads, students, and retiree's
how to begin a successful business by working at home
for very little start up costs!
Now, we'll
hear from Kola...
In
January 2004, I decided to start my own business. Why
you may ask? I was stressed at my current job at the
time, and being a mom, I had a small child to care for.
So
after ordering Christmas gifts from Lillian Vernon®
I received an email from the company stating that they
would be starting a new party-plan company. So after
reading up on the opportunity and having a number of
questions answered by my potential up-line, I decided to
sign up with Celebrations by Lillian Vernon®.
Lillian Vernon® has been around for years and
the products are wonderful and extremely affordable.
This
was my first time doing anything like this, so of course
I was very nervous and very anxious. I made two sales
on my very first day signing up with the company, so
naturally I couldn’t contain myself! After getting
myself familiar with the products, I decided to have my
grand opening.
I
knew I made the right decision despite not having the
support of my family, when I made $1,000 for only two
hours of work!
Since
then, Celebrations has gone out of business and I’ve met
a wonderful group of women and supporters along the way.
One
of those women is Deb of
MisBeeHavenDesigns and
MisBeeHaven Banners – YOU ROCK!!!
After
meeting Deb, and she sent me a couple of candle samples,
and I was sold! I decided to sign up with
Mia Bella Gourmet
Candles!. After Mia Bella, she introduced me to
Create-A-Can and
Cello-in-a-Box.
At
the same time I met Deb, I met Christina – thank you for
helping me keep my skin beautiful!!! This is when I
made my decision to sign up with BeautiControl®
I was
a part of all of these companies, and it was then that I
decided that I needed one place where people could shop!
This is when Kola’s Korner was born!
Deb came to my rescue. After six months of
emailing each other back and forth with changes to this
page and that page Kola’s Korner was ready for its grand
opening.
I am
very proud and excited about this endeavor in my life
and I’m happy that I can give people a fun and exciting
place to shop.
I can
honestly say....
I
have the best Gourmet Scented candles in the world from
Mia Bella, and the best skin-care products in the world
from BeautiControl®- I say this because
BeautiControl® products were the first
products that I tried that didn't cause my skin to break
out!
I
have the coolest gift giving items with
